To stream any media on the other phone/tablet you have, make sure you have installed ArkMC on it, to use it as a Media Player and Server.
If it doesn’t work you can do the following:
-check if other UPnP devices are turned on and connected to home network
– check if device running ArkMC is connected to home network
– try restarting ArkMC, device running ArkMC, other UPnP devices or even re-install an app
– check if something is available in Servers and Players tab
– also you can check if an LTE connection is on, turn it off and try again – there can be a problem with Network interface.
– write a letter to Support indicating your problem, your device model and UPnP devices in your home network
How long does it take to connect to a UPnP server?
ArkMC should be able to find servers and renderers in the network within 1 minute providing that the network connection is running well and consistently and the Wi-Fi router is capable of transferring multicast data packages.
If you don’t have any server icons in the list, only the DMS on the device itself,
you will need to install a server program on your PC or laptop and allow access to the files you want. An example program is Serviio.
What types of media files formats does ArkMC support?
ArkMC supports subtitles but they depend on the video you are trying to play.
If you are using our integrated media player and there are subtitles in a video file then yes, you will see them. But if you are not using our media player but (for example) Apple integrated, then you will not see the subtitles. When you play a video with subtitles you will see an icon on the right side f your screen near the line of recording. It looks like a message icon. There you can turn them on/off.
